Frequently Asked Questions

OUR HEART FOR KIDS

At New River City Church, we believe children are a precious part of God’s family.

A fun, safe, and Spirit-filled environment! Every week, our passionate KOTR team creates a space where kids can experience God’s presence, learn the truth of His Word, and grow in their personal relationship with Jesus. Through worship, Bible stories, prayer, and hands-on activities, children discover that following Jesus is the greatest gift of all.

OUR MISSION

“Where kids encounter Jesus and grow in His presence.”

Each Sunday, children experience:

  • Engaging, age-appropriate Bible lessons
  • Joyful worship and creative activities
  • A safe and caring environment
  • Loving leaders who model Christ’s heart and point kids to Jesus

We believe every child is deeply loved by God and has a divine purpose. Our desire is to nurture their faith, build strong biblical foundations, and encourage them to live boldly for Christ.

AGE GROUPS

KOTR welcomes children from 4 months old through 5th grade, with classrooms designed for each stage of learning:

  • Nursery (babies- 2 years) – Gentle care, play, and prayer in a nurturing environment
  • Preschool (3–4 years) – Interactive Bible stories, crafts, and worship
  • Elementary (Kindergarten–5th grade) – Bible lessons, worship, and learning to apply God’s Word to everyday life

SAFETY, SPACE & CHECK-IN

Your child’s safety and comfort are our top priorities.

All KOTR team members are background-checked, trained, and committed to creating a loving, secure environment.

We use a secure check-in and pick-up system for every service, and parents are always welcome to speak with our team about any special needs or concerns.

WHEN WE MEET

Sundays at 10:00 AM.

Join us for worship and KOTR classes during our main Sunday service.

Faith That’s Bold. Friendships That Last.

“But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.” – 1 Peter 2:9

New River City Youth is where middle and high school students find belonging and purpose. We gather to worship, ask hard questions, and discover what it means to follow Jesus in everyday life. Through small groups, events, and mentorship, we’re raising up a generation who lead with love, walk in confidence, and carry the fire of revival wherever they go.

Every Sunday Evening | 5 PM

*We do not meet on the third Sunday of every month.

Sharing God’s Love With People Experiencing Homelessness

Street Outreach Ministry

Every other Wednesday, our team goes out into the streets to meet

people right where they are—offering food, prayer, and the hope of the

Gospel. We believe that true transformation begins with love and

compassion, and our mission is to bring freedom to those bound by

addiction, despair, and hopelessness. Through relationship,

encouragement, and the power of God’s Word, we strive to remind every

person that they are seen, valued, and never forgotten by God.

Prison Ministry

For nearly a decade, New River City has served faithfully at Everglades Correctional Institution, ministering to a dedicated group of men hungry for God’s Word.
Each month, our team leads worship and teaching in the prison chapel alongside ECI’s own worship band, The Sword of the Spirit, and provides weekly discipleship and prayer in the Faith-Based dormitory.

We believe no one is beyond the reach of grace. God’s love goes deeper than failure, and His redemption story has no limits.

This ministry has become a powerful testimony of second chances—and a reminder that transformation begins when someone encounters the love of Jesus.

If you feel called to serve, we welcome you to join our team. Volunteers must be 18 or older and complete a background check through the Department of Corrections before entering.
