NEW RIVER CITY CHURCH
“The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.” – James 5:16
Our
Heart
for Prayer
At New River City Church, prayer is the heartbeat of everything we do. We believe God still speaks, moves, heals, and restores through the power of prayer, and that every believer is called to partner with Him in intercession.
Our Prayer Ministry exists to create space for people to encounter God’s presence, receive personal ministry, and learn to carry His heart for others in prayer. Whether it’s at the altar, in our prayer room, or during corporate gatherings, we pursue the presence of Jesus with expectation and unity.
Prayer Gatherings
We host regular spaces for the church family to pray together, seek God’s presence, and intercede for revival in our region. All are welcome, whether you’ve prayed for years or are just learning to listen for God’s voice.
Join us for worship, intercession, and personal ministry.
Every other Tuesday | 7:30 PM at the church
A quiet, focused time to rest in God’s presence and pray for His will to be done in our city.
First Saturday of Each Month | 10:00 AM at the church
“Be still, and know that I am God.” – Psalm 46:10
Quiet Waters is our annual prayer and restoration conference. It’s a time to step away from the noise of life and recenter on Jesus. This weekend retreat invites believers to encounter renewal, healing, and deeper intimacy with God through worship, teaching, and prayer ministry.
Dates: Summer 2026 (TBA)
Location: New River City Church
Prayer Teams
Our Altar Team ministers during and after each service, offering one-on-one prayer for healing, breakthrough, and encouragement. These trained intercessors are sensitive to the Holy Spirit and committed to helping people experience the love and power of God.
The Intercessory Team is a group of dedicated prayer warriors who cover the church, city, and leadership in consistent prayer. They carry the spiritual burden of intercession, listening for God’s heart and declaring His purposes over our community.
Our Care Teams extend the ministry of prayer beyond Sunday: providing encouragement, meals, and practical support to those walking through illness, loss, or crisis. Every act of care begins with prayer and flows from the compassion of Christ.
Join the
Prayer Ministry
We’re always looking for people with a heart for prayer and a desire to grow in hearing God’s voice. Whether through intercession, altar ministry, or care, you can make an eternal impact.
